VHF Radio

RYA SRC RADIO (GMDSS)

The Short Range Certificate (SRC) is the radio operator qualification that authorises the holder to operate a VHF Radiotelephone, fitted with Digital Selective Calling (DSC), onboard any British vessel fitted with radio equipment.

This one-day course and assessment covers all you need to know, and is followed by a question paper at the end of the day. Available for your use on the day is training VHF radio equipment and laptop enabled radio simulators.

Knowledge of the international phonetic alphabet is required before

Cost £75 per student (includes RYA certificate fee)

Full payment is required before course commences. To make courses viable a minimum of 4 is required on a course.

First 20 miles no cost,  then £0.40 per mile, shared by all on the course...
