RYA BASIC NAVIGATION & SAFETY

A two day entry level course ideal for powerboaters, sea anglers, divers, boatmasters, dinghy and keelboat sailors and inshore racers.

Provides a basic knowledge of:

• Charts

• Buoyage

• Navigation

• Safety

• Anchoring

• Tides

• Electronic navigation

• Rules of the road

• Weather forecasts

• Pilotage and Passage planning

The Basic Navigation and Safety course provides an introduction to the basic skills required before taking a small boat to sea or taking an active part in running a boat.

A great stepping stone for students working towards the higher level shore based courses and introductory level practical courses.

Courses are run over 2 days (minimum 16 hours, 08:45 - 17:30):

Cost £135 per student  (Included all course materials and equipment - minimum 4 students on course).

If you require me to travel to you, my travelling expenses (based on a two way journey from Dover town centre):

First 20 miles no cost,  then £0.40 per mile, shared by all on the course...

For courses held in Dover, we can arrange discounted accommodation with lift to/from training centre as required or visit the link below.
